Stuck on the minis cause it's Ireland
Decided on keeping it brushed and as cheap as is acceptable
Fpv for the masses

I think brushed are good for micros but anything bigger would still go brushless if you fly a lot you'll definitely burn out the brushed motors in a couple of months whereas brushless will last until you knock a magnet loose or destroy the bearing/shaft somehow. That said whatever gets you flying is good and I started off with a few small brushless ones too but eventually you get sick or replacing the motors and trying to find ones with shaft that matches your props :D
 
I recently rebuilt my tiny brushed beast lol qx90 one of the first kwads I bought.

They are great fun and cheap enough to break occasionally. Fun to rebuild too.

I want to build half a dozen or so and get the kids in the estate flying
This is too much fun to keep to myself
I'd like,in the future to 3d build the frames to bring down cost even more
 
I'm still loving the feeling of being a giant messing with the tiny motors
When I see where I am today I feel like theres a need for information cause everyone seems to start out losing an x5 or the like.
 
Yup all to familiar with the waiting game... I have a couple air units and DJI digital goggles I haven't really used yet just because can't decide on parts for new build or gut some existing build of analog video bits
 
Finally got my frames but a roof issue is forcing a workshop move
It's always bloody something bring on retirement I might get a few hrs to myself lol

Due to a technical oversight the latest delay is motor related but I do have a shiny new workspace
 
Amazon has some kits of assorted small size metric screws too can find some that include m2 and m2.5 and other strange sizes for cams and the like. There's a little tool driver kit from a company called nanch that is great too for all the tiny metric hex screws and other small things that need a driver.
