I now know why I bent the shafts, the prop holders (don't know their proper name) that slip onto the shaft were slightly too short and so the shaft wasn't properly protected.

So after losing control of my X525 I now have three of the four motors with slightly bent shafts. I have spent so long looking for replacement shafts for an Angel a2212 800kv motor, which is 3mm x 40mm and had no luck. There are other shafts for different motors but not these and so I am going...

I wonder how much that would cost? Probably more than new motors lol Is it better to use the motors that have the screw holes in the top, does it make them stronger?

I have just taken the bell off of one motor and it looks like the shaft can be replaced, it has the grub screw holding it in place. They are the type where the shaft extends out of the bell and has no screw holes in the top of the bell.

I will look into using plastic next time, they were screwed on with metal screws. I just thought the props would snap before the shafts bent. I can't afford new motors for a while, oh well it's just part of learning.

So there's nothing I can do?

I was surprised at how quick the 525 was, 800kv motors but it still covers a lot of ground quickly. I'm going to replace the motor mounts as they are crap and I want to make it different but unsure how to at the moment. I took the x5c-1 along as well, amazing little machine but hard to see...

I have also cracked a motor mount. Yes I think this will take a lot of hours to learn, I'm okay within 50 feet. Maybe fpv with a monitor on the transmitter would be an idea
