Bought a Tarot 650 ironman frame.

I broke down and bought the Tarot Iron Man 650 frame. Started the building. Had to take it apart and add Loctite to everything. I also have enough carbon fiber to build another one from scratch. We'll be doing that soon.

Ran my brushless motor underwater then took it apart. (video)

Thought it may have been the equivalent of the muffler bearing joke when it was suggested but apparently not. The retaining clip was a real pain in the ass to get off, and the problem turned out to be some stray windings rubbing on the magnets.

tested the parts of my crashed quadcopter. Most stuff works. (video)

I don't know, I looked up the specs on hobbykings website and they did not mention it. I can tell you 6 of them with 17 inch props will lift 5 pounds no problem :-)

tested the parts of my crashed quadcopter. Most stuff works. (video)

Interesting, I will definitely take it apart tonight or tomorrow and see what is going on with it. Didn't know you could run them in water to clean them, but I guess if you dry them quick enough, there would be no harm. That's why I love this forum. Some great info here. WD isn't an oil, it's a...

Crashed my homemade quadcopter into little pieces. *&$%#

My flight controller is a Naza v m2. I have it programed to raise a couple of hundred feet and then return home if communication between the transmitter and receiver is lost. I think I am going to go with the battery cable. When it landed, the battery cable was disconnected but the battery was...

tested the parts of my crashed quadcopter. Most stuff works. (video)

In this video I survey the damage to my trashed quadcopter. I hooked everything back up to see if the flight controller and if the other hardware still worked. Many of the components still functioned, but I am not sure I should trust them.

    P I D made easy

I have seen this guy's videos before and they are great. Unfortunately, from what I have discovered, I don't think there is any easy way to calibrate and Alexmos gimbal. I watched hours of videos on this and spent hours trying to get the pitch right. I got it close but it is not perfect. The...

Advice wanted for new Quad build.

I am having trouble deciding whether I am going to build another quadcopter from scratch as seen in the image, or get the Tarot Iron Man 650. I plan on running 17 inch props, the multistar 4114 - 320 Motors, and video through a GoPro. The reason I am using these components is because I have...

Crashed my homemade quadcopter into little pieces. *&$%#

I don't think so. I check the motor mounts frequently and they were on tight, Plus, it sounds like it just shut off. I am almost positive the battery connector came off due to me being an idiot and not putting it on all the way because I always had to pry it off. It was always a very sticky...

Crashed my homemade quadcopter into little pieces. *&$%#

I am not sure I would agree with you about the wiring, while sloppy looking yes, the wiring was solid. I even used small pieces of tape to secure the connectors to the flight controller and and some of the other components that I felt were prone to breaking free. I never liked how loose the GPS...

Crashed my homemade quadcopter into little pieces. *&$%#

Dragger, I am already hiding spare parts but I think she, my wife, is on to me. Renov8r, unfortunately I am blaming myself. The battery connector was always extremely difficult to take off after each flight, so I suspect I did not put it on fully in order not to have to pry it off afterwards...

Crashed my homemade quadcopter into little pieces. *&$%#

I really screwed up this time. I think my battery cable came undone at 200 feet. Luckily I always fly it over my own house when I get to high altitude. It came crashing down on my own deck... Little pieces everywhere. It came down so fast, and it served as a reminded, these large drones are...

Daughters first phantom flight and me playing with my quadcopter

Are you kidding? That would be a waste of a drone. She would use it once and then get back to the phone like all the other teenage girls.

Daughters first phantom flight and me playing with my quadcopter

Had a good time. A little father daughter bonding. Ok, I really dragged her along to film but she did have a good time flying the Phantom.

Crash video. I screwed up & crashed my homemade quadcopter.

Yes, but it (tx) was set for my hexacopter which I was not flying. Unfortunately, I forgot to set it back to my quadcopter which it successfully armed. I have two hexacopters and one quadcopter, all three have the same RX aboard. I believe that was the problem.

Crash video. I screwed up & crashed my homemade quadcopter.

My guess is, it is not pairing to the quad but pairing to the receiver. Since I have three identical receivers it probably just sees it as one.
