You need to check the trim of the controller. Also check the wiring (maybe a loose wire?) finally just fly without the landing gears if that works

If I were you I would just get a new drone...Rain water can be very harmful to electric circuits.

In that case go ahead and use the GoPro! The drone Jackson recommended should be good enough but be careful if you are still learning though.
