Anyone else with this X5C-1 issue/Problem

i just received the replacement PCB but turns out they sent me a V5. I would hate to go through all soldering trouble for switching from one issue to the next (or previous in case of older version issue), But eventually if something went wrong i would have no trouble taking it apart and...

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

That would depend on the power of the transmiter that is dedicated to the broadcast of command signals. So it cant be said to "all rtf transmitters" thats why i wanted to be more on the safe side of mentioning 70-100 meters.

Yaw rate becoming slower in one direction

Well..... After more careful observation, upon punching the throttle (during flight) the rear clockwise side is not properly catching up with the rest of the quad. I must say the clockwise flight rotation is fun, able to funnel clockwise indoors easily on high speed mode. I guess Ill order a...

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

I am starting to think that having the antenna fully sideways from the point of contact on the board is the best possible but not feasable position as long as we are personally having the remote (fake antenna) perpendicular to us and we are facing the quad hence the real antenna is parallel and...

Yaw rate becoming slower in one direction

Howdy all. I received my new lishitoys L6052 two days ago. I confirm the new release has a slower yaw rate and overall manuverability for the price of having headleas mode. Indeed useless sacrifice. Anyways im probably on my 10th battery pack and the yaw rate CCW is becoming slower whereas the...

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

The thing about bad batteries is you cant determine it with charging, discharging or multimeter. Once the internal resistance gets too high, caused from high discharge rates, high charge rates, over charging, and charging while hot, then the internal resistance eats up the energy. The pack shows...

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

Being at 4.26volts means they were charged to about 4.3-4.35 volts. My charger charges to 4.2 volts but once disconnected and test battery voltage they are usually resting at 4.12-4.16 the higher the resting voltage im guessing means less internal resistance.

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

I have two cx10s. One i thought burned out a motor. Another did burn out a motor. So i used one to fix the other. Turns out the first motor wasnt burned out. So i guesss maybe not the entire board goes bad somtimes... somtimes one fet/bjt/esc can burn out alone on cheap rtf quads..???

safest way to determine max flight range???

Confirmed! The joystick transmitter, the X13 transmitter has the SAME range as the x5c transmitter. Very surprising, same 100meters while a cousin held the quad chest height and i walked away for approx 95-100meters away. Horizontal test. Its very sad that the X13 has a poorly placed antenna...

Anyone else with this X5C-1 issue/Problem

Yea i stopped using the usb chargers because they overcharge. I got a thunder a680 i use to charge and test my batteries. http://www.hobbypartz.com/73p-ac680-accharger.html I have a 6 in 1 charger on the way will see if it safely charges as well. The bnf is in my wish list. Can fly one quad...

Anyone else with this X5C-1 issue/Problem

I have numbered all my batteries, and noted down each one's flight time, and am now bringing the quad in before cutoff. I have 9 batteries  and two more replacements (for two faulty ones) on the way.

Anyone else with this X5C-1 issue/Problem

Howdy all, I already ordered a new PCB board on the way, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing the same problem that I have with my Syma X5C-1. Once the battery reaches cut off voltage (which is AFTER the low voltage warning) finally my quad will flash its light...

safest way to determine max flight range???

Tomorrow will test out the syma X13 joystick transmitter and see if its got the same range or not.

safest way to determine max flight range???

Had my wife hold the bound quad while i walked and counted my steps away from them. Got to about 80-90 meters this is horizontal range test. I would guess any altitude would increase range. But at 85ish meters i dont think i want, and i cant see any more range than that. This is stock V6 x5c-1.

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

Yea, i just want a good 100m nothing more. With as little drop out zones as possible.

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

So, the feild of broadcast becomes a doughnut with the hollow side being the tip if the antenna. But at 1/4 wavelength its sorta a globe still with no hollow side on the tip of the antenna?

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

Somtimes one looses orientation up high, and it gets cought in high wind, and by the time you regain orientation the quad is loosing signal and cant be brought back. I use the alwsys bank left turn routine to regain orientation but need to have enough range to bring the quads back. either the...

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

Howdy all I have a X5C-1 V6 and already noticed some blind sports or drop outs at random spots while flying and I plan on enhancing the stock transmitter antenna. But the following question apply to all quads not just the syma x5c, From reading around I see that 2.4Ghz frequency requires...
