too much too soon

Thinking of picking up a cheap micro to learn on in the house over the winter, but would like something like this to be my second step.
I really like the idea of LPV quads and this one looks like it will be pretty nice, but i do have a couple questions.
1) Has anyone here bought one of these
2) if so how do you like it. The price seems really reasonable for what you get.
BTW the screen and or goggles are extra.

I have gone down the route of fpv but I would say for me it's more like step 2.5.

Step one was 2 micro quads
Step two is underway as I'm building a cheapo 250 quad, so far including some tools I'm about £230 into it.
Step 2.5 is to add fpv gear should step 2 go to plan

I don't get much time as I have 2 young kids and work away for 3 nights a week so it's a slow build. I have made some progress as my power harness is almost finished need to redo it to add power for led board.

My advice would be you could do worse than follow my route as I'm new too and building is fun, like grown up lego.....

That may be one of the coolest videos I have seen. :) Anyways I would suggest you build your micro. It gives you experience when you crash, and allows you to better control what you focas on with your quad. But those quads on the site look really reasonably priced.

I was thinking about just buying a micro to start, never thought of building one.
have you built one? It may be a great place to start. I do have a couple of questions
Can i use a full sized controler to fly a micro?
Do you need some kind of computer program to program them?

I, like you will have a limited amount of time. Where did you get your information to assemble one of these? with no RC experience i am hesitate to start a project this complex.

firstly I would buy a micro quad.

from my limited experience I would suggest the hubsan x107L it can be flown inside and out, but get a propeller guard if your indoors, spare batteries and some spare propellers.

As for parts I read up and watched some youtube and then bought a kit from the bay.

Yes so I know better now, but its been a good learning curve, and still this will be a first attempt so wanted to go cheapo
