Will a Syma X8HG transmitter work with an X8G drone?

My Syma X8HG drone crashed the other day and badly damaged. I just bought an X8G that is coming without
a transmitter. Hoping the X8HG one will work.

If your lucky protocol will be the same , the buttons may be a little different can you find a pic of the transmitter that comes with it so you can compare them

These are images from the Syma store where I buy my items. They look the same but I am wondering if the mechanisms are different,

This is for the X8G:

Think positive these companies build so many different drones making a transmitter different for each one would cost them more money ,so fingers crossed

Just one thing......
X8HG has altitude hold, which means its controller's Elevator stick (the left stick) stays at the middle.
X8G does NOT have altitude hold, which means its controller's left stick is "loose".
Will that affect how you control the drone? You will have to find out.

One puzzle: how did you buy a X8G without the controller? 2nd hand?

Thanks. I already ordered one for the X8G from Syma store. I don't want to take chances on crashing
Sorry. I did not see your post #7 when I made my reply.

Adding..... remind yourself. Your X8G has no altitude holding. You will be more busier controlling with the left stick.

The box says drone only. Looks like new box. I am an idiot for rushing to buy. I could have spent $30 more for brand new X8HG with controller. So now I am stuck with an X8G and X8G controller, both on the way.

Here is where I bought it. I guess his price went up. I bought it for 83 total

@ linybuggy

X8G came out around 2015. Initially sold from $135 - $150 US with controller.
I am not too keen on the site you did business with. Sorry, it's just me.
If you are in USA, you could get hell a lot better choices in varieties and prices from Amazon.com, GearBest, or even Walmart.
Enjoy the drone. Have fun.
Don't feel bad about crashing. Only way to learn. I crashed more than I dare to tell wife.

Thanks. What makes me angry about the seller is that it originally said, when I bought it, that is will arrive from California by March 12. When I checked the tracking it said by March 30 and it is a china post tracking. Who do I trust? I am tired of buying online, even from ebay, they lie to you to get your money.
Here's the tracking (from Qingdaoshi, China)

I deal almost exclusively with Amazon.ca. I'm in Canada.
With Amazon, I am guaranteed Return if not satisfy, and Delivery Time is super fast. Yes, I might have paid a bit more but I have peace of mind, and that is precious.
Once or twice I bought from Banggood which is in China because they have something no one else is selling. Delivery Time is atrocious! Example : I bought a drone Eachine M80S from Banggood on Feb 6th. Yesterday I received a notice the drone has shipped. So, it took them a full month to ship a parcel the size of a box of Red Rose Tea.
eBay is ok. I didn't do a lot of business with eBay, but I have no issue with them. Only not enough Canada Sellers. I refuse to pay American Sellers Shipping Charge, Import Taxes, etc etc.
Bottom line, one has to be cautious whom one is dealing with.

I've bought on ebay so many times throught the years but lately, since the virus outbreak, it seems I am getting screwed with where the items are coming from. There was a seller that said they ship out of Phoenix AZ and after wondering what took so long it came from a chinese seller. Go figure

Take a look at the "Estimate delivery time".
Sometimes, not always, you can tell if the seller has the product on hand to ship or he is just a middleman and needs to order from the maker.

I ended up canceling the X8G order and bought an X8HG!! I found a great deal on ebay.

Congrats and have fun.
May I ask, how good is that "great deal"? I'm skeptical in nature.
This is what came for $89
The drone (I had to assemble, a cinch)
2 x 2500 mah batteries
4k Action camera with sc card, remote and battery
Gimbal case
2 sets of propellers
2 sets of propeller guards
