Beast SG906 PRO advice

That's an interesting camera drone! I've been doing too much researching lately and I totally missed the Beast. Seems you made a good choice. I have no working flyer presently and I'm ready to move up. There are some interesting kits that I could build an learn a lot, but need to be flying soon as I can. That 2K video detail is great. Can you choose on remote to "see" from either camera?

Yes, I haven't done that yet but I understand that's a feature if you're using a smartphone with the app to control it. If you decide to buy this drone be sure you get the SG906 Pro, not the older SG906.

nice..do you calibrate your phone and controller or just the controller?..thxs in advance for u r response..
As you are aware you are calibrating the drone(not the controller or phone) so you can use either, I ve found it quicker to use the controller, holding the speed control for 5secs to calibrate the camera then calibrate the gyro pressing the photo button for 5secs and donig the thing with your drone. I find and test the final process every time to make sure my drone knows it way home, important if your drone goes out of range and you cant see it, pressing the home button is a god send :)

JMC....thank you for u r time and response..I also am new to the drone world with a sg906 which
I really enjoy...one more question...when you switch batteries do u
you need to recalibrate over again or just switch and fly?.Again thxs for u r help...fly safe...Bill

For GPS to work it needs to get a lock on "enough" satellites for it to be able to accurately track the 3D position of the quadcopter, I believe most systems will require at least 6 or 8 satellites to consider it a "good" 3D position lock, if going to a new location it takes longer than repeated locking at the same location (see GPS cold start vs "warm" or "hot" start). Typically 1-2 minutes after battery power is given is normal before it has a solid lock and then you should be able to control it with GPS flight mode, make sure it is clear from obstructions and has a clear view of the sky when powering up for GPS flight.

Your drone looks for GPS satellites when changing from mode 1 to mode 2, your location will determine how quick it will find them, my drone wants about 7 satellites (as seen on your controller) before it switches to mode 2. If you have a smartphone with a navigator compare how long it takes to find enough satellites for it's location to how long your drone takes to find them and it's location. Your Drone and smartphone/navigator should be about the same time to locate :)

I myself have tried calibrating multiple times with unpredictable results, only had it about a month flown it 7x , 2 successful flights , 1 in desert could not handle the wind I was ok with it , the dj air2 power thru the wind. another time keep getting magnetic error an could not fly , I was on an open farm field! next day it hover steady on a park hmmm but could fly as it was prohibited .
Today it drifted into a wall , swapped props same results went up briefly hovered an than drifted again into a tree , I have 12 satellites so should hover , im very frustrated an advice will be highly appreciated.

I couldn’t tell if the lights changed while you were calibrating, you can also calibrate by holding buttons on the controller for 5 seconds.

I don't have a drone yet and have been researching what's available. I need to stay under $200 for a model with two batteries and carrying case. I really like the features of the Beast SG906 PRO but would like the opinions of experienced drone owners, especially anyone who has this model.

I definitely want one with GPS, 2-axis gimbal (or more), 20 minutes or more battery time, HD camera with in-flight angle adjustment, and brushless motors.

Thanks! :)

Joe
Mate I've got asg906 pro can't pick up it's wifi but I can connect to it's controller any ideas just bought it
