Scratch Build - T-Motor F7 Stack - F7 FC, F45A V2 3-6S 4-in-1 ESC Combo

Got it together while waiting on your response and hooked up to betaflight configurator. I'll see how it works and checks. Had to print out custom cam and board mount. We'll see.

Ah you powering the vtx off the FC? If so using battery power to the FC (USB to FC will only give it 5V)? Would have to check if FC puts out at least 7V on that line too it may be 5V out. Usually there is a 12V pad for led strip power or other things that need more than 5V will see if I can find power output from FC but if trying with just USB (5V) wouldn't expect the vtx to power up necessarily.

VTX is jumped to battery.

Yah not sure double check continuity from the battery bullet connectors/plug to the vtx maybe just a "cold solder" or something that's really only thing I can think of that would stop voltage from showing up there from the battery. Show some pics of just vtx power connection if still not working (sorry know sharing pics here is a bit of a pain)

Oh facepalm sorry I had forgotten that was a thing. With pit mode the vtx (or FC forget which one) will be off or low power if it isn't getting signal from the FC to turn on I think but never used a FC or vtx with that feature. Personally I fly freestyle for fun mostly so I usually just plug in and fly till my battery is dead so no real need to pit or use that personally, would have to dig into it.

K, went ahead and found video on this, bridged this to "always on" and it fired right up. Still got some bugs but all the pretty lights are on as they should be and getting video feed to monitor. Now it's on to Betaflight set up and calibration. Thanks A Bunch!

Hey guys, TBS Unify EVO 5.8GHz Video Transmitter is getting really hot, how can i change or fix this, it is jumped to battery and I'm looking for a 12v connection on FC.

This is actually pretty normal for any vtx they get uncomfortably hot when just sitting on the ground especially.. This is another reason pit mode exists so power isn't just being bled off and signal unused but if flying the whole time then the heat is just biproduct of amplification of the signal (this is why you don't want to run a vtx without an antenna attached if no antenna "load" for the amplified signal to transmit out then more heat builds up)

If you reduce the power output of the vtx it shouldn't get quite as hot but having some air flow over the unit while in flight helps them bleed off heat too and so long as it doesn't get to frying internal components hot or desoldering connections hot it isn't usually a problem. Running cheaper vtxs with no antenna can make them burn out but it doesn't always happen.
