Controller lock

Got a question. Maybey someone here might know.
I had a world tech “recon, follow me” drone.
I bought it a while back as the kit with the watch controller and the guy bought a regular controller for it but never tried it. So I flew it a few times with the watch and thought I would switch to the controller. I went through all the binding steps and got it to bind but it always said locked when try to take off. I eventually put it up and that was that. Well I gave it to my son. Telling him the same. This is his first drone. And he called me to step him through everything. Well now the watch is saying “locked” when trying to fly after going through the binding process... anyone know how to get it unlocked ??

Does anyone know if a controller can be wiped of past memory of connection with a drone to be used with another. Or is it just common that a new binding would just take completely for a new craft ?
Still trying to solve this dilemma of binding two different controllers and both connecting but both saying locked when trying to engage flight... looked for a pin hole for possible test without luck.... can’t find anything on YouTube about it. Can’t get through to customer service... I’m starting to get aggravated over this. I know it’s something stupid but no one seems to know anythingabout this particular drone

For the most part the toy grade quads will come with a receiver on the quad that is setup to "autobind" where it falls back into "binding mode" when it starts up if no currently bound transmitter is sending it signals (isn't on or isn't already bound). Generally they will flash an LED or give some other similar indication they are in "binding mode". Hobby grade receivers will typically have a bind button that needs to be pressed while powering up the receiver to get it into binding mode (so would look for a button on the receiver in the quad or on the shell, try holding while plugging in battery or pressing after powering up and see if it gives any visual indication). Once the receiver on the quad is in "binding mode" then you typically start up the transmitter and get it into binding mode (again usually hold a momentary toggle switch while powering up or use menus on controller/transmitter to get it into binding mode). Once transmitter and receiver have "bound" typically indicator pattern/light on receiver or quad will change.

Without model # and manufacturer (mfg) will be hard to give any more info or find others with the same problem, would suggest looking for sticker with model/part number and mfg and adding that info here.

It is showing it’s bonded an connected. But says locked when arm to fly.
it is a world tech “recon” (follow me) drone. They are 500 dollar drones still. They come factory two ways . One with just the watch controller and the other with the watch and a regular controller. Theguy I bought it from. He bought a used controller later. That controller says it’s binded but locked when try to fly. The watch controller was working. I messed with the other controller trying to bind it again thinking it might do something different and unlock flight. It never did. I ended up sending to my son. Well he has tried to fly and now the watch controller is saying it’s connected and ready but now also saying locked when trying to engage flight...
