hey all.
ive been in RC helicopters for so long . but i would like to build my racing drone.
i have a couple of questions:
i have a spektrum dx8 TX and i would like to use it for the drone im building.
- im confused which type of RX to use ? i would like to buy an Orange RX from Hobbyking , but not sure which ! i will be using mamba F405 FC .
- also why is it everyone in the RC drone community prefers to use FRSKY ? whats so special about it ?
- is there any diffrence in using a 5.8ghz , 2.5dB antenna and a 8dB 5.8ghz antenna on a VRX ? or is it just for the VTX ? what diffrence does it make in general. ?

thanks guys

Frsky uses open tx.

"OpenTX is an open source and free software environment for Transmitters. It is used by thousands of hobbyists and developed by volunteers based on user feedback and requests."

I actually like the jumper brand of radios because they're open protocol. I can use spectrum, frsky, flysky, crsossfire, and pretty much any of the toy grade protocols. It's pretty cool.

All quads use H1 or single servo No mixing , all the work is done by the FCB
Go to spektrum web site and down load the telemetry for the transmitter that's all you need to do
