Looks to review okay, there is repeated mention of bearing problem's with the motor's, are they hard to replace/upgrade or should I cut to the chase and go for a better set of motors?

Batteries for these, any recommendations?

I've got an original wizard with 100s of flights on it. I did have to replace one motor and the camera (the stock camera works fine but I put in a runcam to have osd.)

I really like that they built the original wizard using a real pdb and single ESCs as that's my favorite way to build a kwad now. This configuration makes replacing motors and ESCs easy.

It was what I learned fpv on, they are great for that. Over-powered for a newbie but under-powered for a pro.

I've started out using 1500 mah 3s but quickly switched up to 4s batteries for more power.

I don't regret buying the wizard at all but there might be quality control issues but that's a chance you take on any quad.

Be sure and get some good props, I recommend the HQ watermelon colored lol:

Great vid, thanks for the link,,,
I was asking the question as that one of these popped up on CL with a box load of stuff for a real price Saturday morning.

Drove up and got it, came with 3 4s batt's, 2 3s batts, FPV goggles, Skyrc charger along with a HolyStone 200x complete.
Glad I went for it, it's in great shape.

4 in 1, this stuff is still in the original boxes like it just came off the store shelf, the kid gets the Wizard, I'm too old for something that fast, heck the HS 200 is almost too fast for me, I have a Potsenic D80 to fly, love it,

The Holystone was in its original store box and with the plastic cover over the tray, just as you would get it for an unboxing,,,,
Goggles & charger still in their original boxes and like I said, immaculate condition.

Also there's the cables to connect to the computer for for both the transmitter & goggles for sim flying on the lap top.
The person I purchased everything from was very glad to see the package deal going to a good home, and emailed me a link to a sim. after the deal was made.

Neither drone has been flown yet by us, he demo'd the Wizard at the time of purchase, flew it out of his car trunk, around the parking lot then back to a hand landing.

Went to Harbor Freight for flight case's for each drone kit.
Each case has a drone, its batteries, and spare props, another case for my chargers, and charging bags.
And a small case for the FPV goggles, its battery, charger & antenna's.

All the batteries are at storage charge level, got 3 low battery alarms in the box, checked the batteries with one.

Still can't believe I got so lucky, gonna search out the prop's you recommended, got a couple of bags of orange props, but they're a lower pitch than the stock purples, I can tell just by looking at them, maybe about half, I'm thinking I'm going to switch them out on the drone so my son can get the fell of this thing at a slower speed, I know it will cut the flight time but he's gotta learn other wise it's going to be difficult and he may get discouraged.

I've tried flying my D80 with the GPS off and think I know what I might be in for with the HS, gotta love that GPS, if I get in a pinch I can just turn it back on and hit Headless to gain control again,,,,,,,,

Kinda fun reading the reviews of the HS, the 1 star reviews all said it just flew off when they tried the return home button, the manufacture uses the same button for re-calibrating the transmitter with a long press, the return home is a short press of the same button so I figure the pilot would panic for return home and hold the button down too long.

I know with my D80 when I hit return home it takes a few seconds for the drone to respond, and I've only had the chance to fly it a few times around the neighborhood with the weather we're having right now I'm lucky just to have a calm day let alone one with out rain.

Found a school yard not far from home, large sports field, and legal to fly RC but hopefully can go there when people aren't partaking in a field event, and yes I completely understand the danger of having a crash landing around a crowd looking the other way,,,,,,,,
Had a rocket crash in a baseball diamond during a game back a number of years ago when I was just getting into high power rocketry before 9/11.
Then after 9/11 the Fed's put a bunch of restrictions on our motor fuel so the hobby kind of quit being so fun.

This hobby needs more support for outdoor events, free style competition type of event, maybe racing but for race drones they're moving pretty darn fast and an out of control 70mph drone can do some serious damage to a human.

There's a collage down in Olympia, St. Martin's, that use to have a huge field that didn't get used for sporting events, that might have changed but next time I'm down there I'm going to drive over and check it out, might be a starting point for the hobby if it's still an open field.

Man, the middle of winter is not time to get all pumped up in an outdoor hobby in the PNW,,,,,,,,,,,,,

While you are stuck inside good time to spend some time on the SIM also maybe take some time to look into the rules the FAA has laid forth and come up with a good message for why we should be allowed to continue to work on and build our own quadcopters and fly them where it is safe but not restricted to AMA fields. The approved fields will be set up front and shrink over time since no new fields can be added and the old ones will be retired. Do what you can to spread the word and get people to speak out against the new law and ask for changes before it is passed. Some rule by law must be put in place (this was put in motion back in 2016).

Regarding the FAA decision on this it will not likely stop me from building or flying but will have to cut back on sharing those things and will impede further technological innovation (IMHO). They aren't stopping the bad guys at all and they are making it impossible for newcomers to really learn the ropes you will buy a pre-approved by the FAA and FCC and get a signature from your mom or else you can't fly.

I'm not a very good activist, I get a bit tooo emotional towards my cause and seem to make things worse, best I stay out of that end of things.

Another side to this is how are they going to enforce it, the Fed's have cut back so much internal expense they can't afford enforcement of their new regulations other than sales, pretty sure we'll figure a work around on that too.
I mean like are they going to regulate how many prop's, motor's, or batteries we can buy?

Just like gun control, they haven't been able to put even a dent in the sales of those, the more they say no the more people will figure a way to do it.

The old fields retiring are being bought up by developers that offer the land owners enough that nothing we can do is going to stop that.

The manufacturer's will also lobby in our favor, they need to sell so they'll find ways for the buyer to use the product,

Living in the city can be detrimental to many hobbies, like one of my other hobbies, astronomy, city lights are going LED and we can't filter that light out and the city is saving so much money in electricity, so we drive to dark sights to view the heavens,

So to fly we'll have to drive, it's part of the hobby we've chosen,

Yeah, times are changing, and like you, it won't stop me either from just doing my hobby, but not in a way that bother's others.

The FVP system is for the kid not me, I like to watch the drone fly, gives me time to relax, my drone gets about 15 to 18 min's flight time per pack just cruising around, 8 batteries later I'm ready to go home anyway, maybe when I link up my phone for visual that might change but for now it's just something to keep me off the street's,,,,,,,,,,
