avoiding the clones...

as per my previous thread, I'm in the process of rebuilding my 450 quad and upgrading its parts, and I'm now looking at flight controllers.

Rather than use the existing KK2.1.5 board I've got, I'd like to upgrade it to either a Naze32 Rev6 or a CC3d 32 bit, or something of similar spec (Baseflight, Cleanflight, OpenPilot compatible, F4)

However, browsing through Amazon etc all I see are no-name models, which are all presumably clones, with no guarantee of quality or whatever.

Can anyone recommend a specific maker (preferably on Amazon Prime !) for these boards? I see Matek do FC's, are they any good ?

Don't even bother with the Naze32 or CC3D dinasaurs, in fact don't even bother with an F4. Best board for your application IMO is the CLRacing F7. Lots of UARTs for peripherals, no more monkeying around with inversions and the layout is ideal.

Definently DO NOT buy the "omnibus f4" from banggood unless you like watching all your hard work go up in flames lol.

What's wrong with the NAZA controller with GPS?. OK it's as old as the KK2 but it's what flies the older Phantoms and compared to KK2's they're almost bulletproof.

-not enough UARTs
-slow processing speed and can't keep up to the present firmware
-not supported after BF 3.2
