Newbie help with RTF and mods

Ok so a few weeks ago I bought a Hubsan H002 nano quad to play around with and see what the whole drone phenomenon was all about. Im hooked LOL.

Decided its time to go slightly bigger now (no DJI Phantom 4 for me, that will never be in my price range LOL)

Been doing some research and ive narrowed it to 2 RTF quads in my budget.

Syma X8SW or Hubsan H502S X4

Now I wanted to find out, can I do any mods on these to make them better, like better antennae for wifi FPV, or bigger battery for longer flying time etc? No major mods, just small improvements.

I know an FPV racer type DIY build would be better but still will cost around 5 times or more the cost of my budget. Im from South Africa, our economy currently sucks and our postal service is pretty much non existent so online buying is unfortunately not an option. The quads I mentioned are available here and within my price range.

Main aim is to use it for taking videos and pics.

If you go to Youtube and do a search for Hubsan h502s or Syma x8 battery and antenna mod, you'll find literally thousands of videos on how to improve range. However, I find most of these mods don't improve performance all that much and with some, they are pretty delicate procedures (for instance antenna replacement) and there's a good chance you'll make things worse or even cause irreplaceable damage. Both the quads you've listed are quite capable in their stack forms.

Thanks for the info, I will do some more research and check it out.
