Novice, wanting to upgrade...

FPV camera for the Bugs 3 = C5820 (MJX's model number). The C5830 will also work, but you would need to cut out the front of the Bugs 3 body.

I've been watching some videos. Looks like you just need to take out the LED front light and drop in the camera (although maybe that was one of the other cameras). I'll double check that.

A couple things of note from what I watched:

  • Apparently when you turn the controller off, it just drops out of the sky. Would that equate to going out of range?
  • I've seen a couple now that say it's not for a beginner. But then, maybe the point is to practice learning to fly/control a unit.
About all I have for now.

I decided to just go with the c4022 720p camera from them. Was cheap, and will provide a little bit of video. Maybe I can find my lost 818A with it. Of course, I could end up having the bush swallow this too

Just waiting for all things to arrive.

Thanks for the help Rick.

The Bugs 3 came today. INteresting first experience.

I'm going to start a thread about learner and post how it's going.

Rick, again, thanks for your help.

Hopefully a good kind of interesting! I think that quad may be the best overall value going. You can do about anything with it with all the room inside and the design of the board. Keep us posted on how the learning curve is going.
