Hello. I am based in Pennsylvania and want to take a drone (phantom 3) with me to italy. Does anyone have any experience with this? Many sources say liability insurance is reauired while others say it is not. Enac classifies my drone as model aircraft and does not mention it. Can you recommend any companies that offer low decent deals?

Why don't you check with the Italian Consulate? ENAC seems extreme for accrediting yourself and your drone, unless you are going in as a professional photographer.

I'd check with the airline first. There may be issues with the fact that the Phantom carries a volatile lipo that's capable of bringing down a large aircraft

I am already in contact. So far so good. Now im just trying to make sure i dont break any laws
If I was you I would photocopy the caa/faa rules for Lipo's as pilot & stewardesses are ignorant to these and throw ppl off flights. Only to have to get the next one.
