burned my vtx and the one at banggood has been out of stock for a long time and i talked to their CS and they said it may be likely they will stop selling the product and they don't have any plans for new stock at this time!!

i was wondering is there any other vtx i can use? because it has these weird wire connection

so what other vtx could i use?

thanks!

So go verify the specs of the VTX that cam with the falcon. 200mw, 600mw, 1000mw, 5Vt, 12vt, both... Antenna connection, SMA or RP-SMA and look for one that's like this one.

you can use any vtx you choose. it will just require modifying the plugs. the cable on the right (2 wire) is battery voltage and ground coming from quads PDB.

The left cable is(from left to right) audio, video, grond, 5v out. These go to the camera.

to remain using the traces in the PDB, you can cut the ends off your existing plugs and solder on the plugs that come with the new vtx.

yup. both of those will work. as i mentioned above, you can simply cut off the existing plug going to old vtx, and solder the wires as shown in the diagrams of the vtx 's you posted.

Do you have any experience with a soldering iron? you will want to make good connections, and heatshrink the joints to prevent any shorts

Edit: sorry Alt, for some reason i thought you were OP lol

Do I solder? HA HA! I walk around wearing a soldering iron holster. My wife hates it when I wear that thing out to dinner with friends and she really hate it when I don't take it off before jumping into bed. Women... they will never understand us.

yeah i can solder, but the thing is i notice mine has 2 for the power, and 4 for the other wires - and all the other vtx i can find have like 3 cables for the non power cables - so what should do in that situation?

thinking i will get this one

and just cut and splice the black and red wires with my connector, but then with the other 4 wires what should i do with the extra wire since the other vtx's have only 3?

the "extra" green wire is for sound. you do not have to connect that. otherwise, the vtx you posted will work great. just follow the wiring legend on the last image and you should be good!

screw it ill just try to splice.

so i can just strip the wires a little bit on each side

then twist the 2 wire ends together

then wrap with electrical tape?

also it's ok that the AK is 600mw and my stock vtx is 200 mw?

also when comparing the eachine cable to the diagram

green = audio (not used)

yellow is video in

black is ground and red is v out? so does that mean i have to twist the red wire behind the black wire to get it to go to v out on the vtx?

YOLO order placed! think i'll get some general tsos chicken today to celebrate my Chinese parts! Curiosity got the better of me, excited to see if i can get this to work!

Red + source power
Black - main ground

Either G or Y can be video in. It will come from your camera. You will need a Red (power +) and Black (ground -) to your camera. It looks like your old VTX provided it to the camera. The two wire black and red was power an ground to the whole thing and the 4 wire goes to camera and is the camera power and ground, video out and audio. Do you have a 12vt or 5 vt camera? IT might matter because the black/ red coming out of the VTX and going to the camera could be regulated down to 5Vt by the VTX. If its a 5vt camera and you send 12vt you will burn up the camera. Check your camera specs.

Forget that. The Cam V is 5Vts out and Cam ground. Should be easy. I was over thinking it. :)

My camera specs are:

3.6-5.5V (powered off TX)
Power consumption: 60mA @5V - so I'm guessing 5v - but the AKK vtx says it has a 5v output as well, so it should be ok right?
