Looking for other flyers with disabilities. ..

Hi! I'm an old RC Pattern flyer, just getting into quads for the last year or so. I'm now having some spine issues and need a crutch or cane to move around well. You can imagine I'm having issues carrying things and getting up and down gracefully. I'm just wondering if anyone else is flying with disabilities and possibly we can share how we deal with some of the same problems. Thanks for listening.

That's the beauty of FPV flying. In theory, you could fly around the neighbour hood from the comfort of your couch

Exactly! I've got a Phantom 4 coming and I'm trying to decide on which fpv goggles to order. What I was initially hoping to ascertain were the different ways of getting the quads outside and the various techniques of compass rotating and routines. Also, the ways we've learned carry and set things down on the ground when you have problems bending over and touching the ground.

BTW...you don't have to have the the specific disability probably to come up with a solution! All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm not quite as badly off as you are. I have some collapsed discs, fused vertebrae, and herniated discs. I can walk for a few hundred yards, so you could say that I've got a leg up on you ;) Gotta maintain my sense of humor... I do have limited strength and range of motion in my right arm and both hands too. I'm waiting for spare parts to get an Hubsan X4 h107L into the air, hopefully. The quadC was a freebie from a frustrated flyer. It'll be another week or so before that happens. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Good flying!
