i crashed a couple times and now im having problems!

1. 1 of the props are bent and im trying to take it off to replace it, but the cap on it is stuck tight as can be...i put a metal tiny screwdriver in the holes of the cap to get leverage to turn it, and it broke the screw driver!!

2. also now the quad wont even take off.... and when i give it throttle the video cuts out... i think the battery is low so gonna let it charge for a few hours and try again...

thanks :(

i also lost my voltage alarm so gonna order a couple more of those... also imo zip ties > velcro.

otherwise the time i was in the air, IT WAS AWESOME!! i think im gonna do rattitude instead of attitude because the wind was quite a battle and i wasnt able to control where i wanted to be very well cus the wind kept pushing me away :(

i was flying in a giant soccerfield and there were these stadium lights on pillars and i would fly wayyy high over them and go zoom zoom zoom around them, it was epic!

so basically a full list of breaks today

1. landing gear, but i fixed it i think.

2. cant get caps off the props...

3. when the voltage alarm fluew off it took a chunk of the plastic on the balance cable connector, but it "seems" to be ok...will see if it charges over night...

NO NO NO you can't charge a lipo for "a few hours"!!! unless you've got really good insurance. Don't know what kind of charger you have, but it should only take an hour max. Did the charger come with the Falcon? It would automatically shut off when your battery is fully charged.

As for the prop caps, are you sure they don't screw off? Don't forget that left rear and front right are CCW which means they are reverse threads so to loosen them, you'd have to turn them clockwise

BTW, you're mom's a better photographer than you are a pilot hahahaha

I have an Imax B6AC charger that works great. Also have a balance board to charge multiple batteries at once.

What prop caps? Dude Im sure thats a screw on nut.

np i got it off, hey do you have the b6v2 or the b6v1?
V2. Im one of those 110 people that were satisfied with their amazon purchase in your link. :) If you have muliple batteries you can get a charging board and charge 3-4 batreries at the same time. This charger will do balance charge, fast charge and storage charge and tells you the % of charge left.

sweet man thanks a lot :D im ordering it now xD

Do all the LEDs work? What does your meter show the end/fully charged voltage at?
my voltage meter/alarm got thrown off during flight and lost, so waiting for a new one to come. i let my charger charge all night and it was still red all 3 dots, but then i unplugged it and plugged it back in and it showed 2 green 1 red :S

Don't use that crappy charger. They should be all green meaning each cell is fully charged, but some cells can be overcharged. Should be 4.20 vts per cell at a total of 12.6 vts. If you get that charger it will tell you each cell and balance them out. Your low volt buzzer also tells you the total voltage and each cell voltage.

I know the feeling... I'm the nut who lost a quad and bought two more because I couldn't wait to get flying again. Which reminds me, make sure you set the failsafe and that it works. :)

right on i have not done that yet! :O

i found this video to set the failsafe on a i6, is his method and settings good to do?

basically it says failsafe for:

channel 1 0%
channel 2 0%
channel 3 -99% (throttle)
channel 5 - 100% (to bring it back to attitude if you are in rate or rattitude mode)
channel 6 -100% (i have no idea what this switch even exists for)

are those good failsafe settings?

so basically failsafe kicks when the quad is out of range for the transmitter?

i don't always fail, but when i do - I fail Safe!

so basically, with these settings, if the quad flies out of range, it will auto level then touch down gracefully like a DJI phantom?

so for failsafe options, when it says "off" does that mean no failsafe and it will just do the last command it was given? or does it mean it will cut it off it looses signal?

update: so i decided to test my stock failsafe settings (which is everything set to off)

i took off the props, and turn on the quad and transmitter, gave it 50% throttle then turned off my transmitter, and the props stopped spinning, so does that mean its good to go?

I would say that failsafe works. Not sure about soft landing settings. The way you have it set it will drop, which is better then losing the whole thing. My Radiolink is set for 15% throttle. I figure it will come down fast but not drop like a boulder. I've never tested it in the air to see how hard it comes down.

You need a real multimeter, and not just for voltage checks. The ability to also check for continuity and hence possible shorts is paramount. And they don't have to expensive either.

You're a stickler for those mulitmeters. ;) I once found a hair sized solder glop with one that I would have never seen without it.

DAMN IT im pissed off because i got my charger today but turns out my 3s battery balance connector is effed up and cant be used anymore, (it got hit by a propellar) so now i got to wait til wednesday for a new battery and 20 bucks down the drain and i wanted to fly so bad today FML FML FML and im worried soon im just gonna lose my drone or something and all this will be a huge waste of money and on top of that parents constantly hassling me that im wasting money and etc and they have no idea how i struggle with my mental illness alone and doesnt seem to matter what i do i always get screwed f this poop life!!!
