Question for those using the Tarot FC. Are you powering it with the included PMU? I was thinking of powering the ZYX with ESC #1 like you would on a Naze or CC3D, and using the PMU as a separate 5/12V power supply with a smaller 3S lipo for all the other gear. Anybody have this setup?

Are you powering it with the included PMU?

I was using the included pmu. I do not have mine installed on anything right now.
 
I don't have anything installed yet as I'm STILL waiting for motors, but that's what I was asking. Do I have to power it with the PMU or can I power it from the first ESC using all 3 wires?
 
Found this, think I'll use the PMU yikes

DO NOT power the Tarot ZYX from a ESC... Use the PMU it supplies 5 volt for the FC, GPS unit clean power, it is also in a metal shielded container, so that cuts down on any RF interference!!!!
Then it has a JST 12 volt regulated power connector out for the OSD unit, which has another 5Volt BEC for powering GoPros and FPV 5 volt cameras and 12 volts for VTX and GoPro Gimbal!
The PMU also supplies the battery info so the FC knows what battery you have installed, this is for the OSD voltage level, FC warnings and Autoland when it gets too low!!
Someone else here made that mistake and it destroyed the GPS unit!!!
