Has anybody used this Chinese quad parts website?

I believe that was the company that shipped the fake SunnySky motors I got back in June that I ordered in March. I recognize the xinte part of the name. Not 100% on the prefix part so don't hold me to it. Ringalong uses a company, gadget extreme, that he swears by. The prices look very competitive, not the very lowest but very good. They also look to have a pretty large inventory. Maybe worth looking into.
You and I have both been burned by the Chinese. Don't forget; if it looks to good to be true, and the Chinese are involved, then it probably is!;)
BTW. Welcome to the forum, shift!

I agree - well and truly burned and we are but two in countless thousands I would imagine.
I think I should have titled the thread.. If it looks to good to be true.....it probably is!

BTW - OT Alert!
I recently placed a question on the BangGood forum - asking if some Naza FC/GPS combo stuff was genuine or copy - it took a week or more before I was notified of a reply.... from a staffer who said.... Hi, Items is copy... but very good results !

SHIFT:

Welcome to the best - most friendly forum you will find related to quadcopters..
If you are new and considering a purchase from a Chinese/Hong Kong/ Singapore online store you should first read a lot of the threads on this forum. There are horror stories....but also some folk who have purchased items and had no issues and are quote happy... but not many.
So you can ask questions about which to use - if you must. Depending on your country... Amazon, HobbyKing and a few other online outlets are perhaps slightly more expensive and no "free shipping" but are more reliable and and accountable if things go wrong.

No question, and there are some good ones out there. Caution was the purpose of the statement. Don't get suckered by the price alone. Do your homework.

The Chinese are always involved, without them there would be no hobby.
RC fixed wing existed long before cheap labour China got involved - and it was Hong Kong under British rule that created most of todays "toy" industry... followed by Taiwan and South Korea.
China only got involved after it went commercial in a policy change to become a world power - commercially and militarily.
As for "without them there be no hobby"... the only reason China does not have any "western" competition is entirely due to economics. Western cost of labour ensures little competition in any market - and job losses in the same countries who cannot compete - Apple is the perfect example... an over priced item built by under paid labour.
If China shut down tomorrow - within a month western factories would be in production and your $150 quad would cost you $550.

China has another interpretation of "Copyright". They think it is the right to copy.
The consumer drives their success. Lots of us do not want to spend 100 Euro on an outrunner, but we would have a lot less jello on our videos ;)

Thanks for your comment... the thread seems to have drifted from finding somebody who actually used the store in question and we would not want the odd OT to appear!

Actually, I think the thread is right on track. You started by asking about the wisdom of buying from a particular Chinese vendor. Asking for help in finding reputable suppliers is a great example for new members. This forum has many members that had to learn with their wallets on the false economy of buying on price alone. You are helping many by starting this conversation and keeping it going. The experience of the long time members will help newbies identify the good suppliers and avoid the bad ones and show them that it is ok to ask ANY question. ;)
