On the Syma X5c-1 the green less or on the rear with the red on the front. Guess it really doesn't matter but I would think they should be switched. I suppose one could swap the lens. Maybe the Chinese use green for tail lights. ;-)
 
Gramps, just put a mirror in front of it and everything will be all right : )


It has become standard that the red LEDs are in the rear, as it is with the Syma X5c-1.

I'm with you Gramps. That's always seemed backwards to me as well. It seems to be standard on most RTF's for some reason.

Every RTF I,or friends, own has red lights in front. Including the X5c-1. I will swap them when I need to replace the motors.
On my builds I always put red lights or red reflective tape on the rear and white, green or yellow in the front.

I sit corrected. How embarrassing! I have erred, hopefully not steering someone in the wrong direction. I will now repent by facing a wall corner in a room and contemplate my misdeed. Good thing that I have no offspring to whom to pass on these darn errant genes. Forgiveness would be appreciated, for I do not wish to carry this on my shoulders forever, since my shoulders already support a heavy head of granite and quartz. Woe is me, woe is me.

It'll take the judge probably a week or more of poring through past past cases like mine, checking Lexus-Nexus, and the like.
I have burdened myself unbearably. Woe is me for my slipodatongue transgression of fact.

I should have had, in my partial defense, witness Hubsan H108, U807, and DHD D1 take the stand, for they are each red-tailed, but no, I mistakenly and specifically stated that Syma the Sorcerer had red tail lights, and I fear my fate is doomed. Woe is me, as I sit in burden jail, awaiting the judge's decision. "The hangman's noose swings to and fro, to and fro, to and fro..."
 
I'm beginning to think that you are maybe similar to me in thought about the Syma, we both wish the Syma followed the norm and put the red lights in the rear instead of going down their own trail. I could also see how this could happen with the company you are keeping. I'm guessing if you would have been hanging with the red eyes your testimony would have been entirely different.

I'll be joining HDTallRider - I will also change the LED lenses on my sneaky Syma. I'm going to do it with it's power off and camera off, so that it won't realize that it's been transgendered until I put it back in operation. Shame on Syma for trying to pull the LED lenses over our eyes. They should stand facing a corner and repent. Wait a minute, where have I heard that before?

Going to be a little more work than just switching the lens. Already been that route, the odds are red and green so it will require surgery.

You have to change around the LED's, not just the lenses. It's not difficult but I figure if I have to take it apart anyway for the motors, which should be soon, I'll just wait and swap the LED's then. Less chance for me to lose(more) screws..........;)

...and then I can rename "her" to something like "Chaz Caitlyn".

Thank heavens that Sammy WalMart decided to give his customers a 30 day return for replacement or refund policy!

Wait a minute - who appointed/elected you judge? Have you replaced Gramps or Tallin-the-crotch as judge? Have they recused themselves from this case, and the Chief Judge appointed you in their stead? Blasphemy! I demand a retrial, with a tribunal or a jury of my peers.
