Bad Quad or Bad Me?

My JJRC H12C H12C-5 arrived yesterday, and being a newbie, I had 3 small crashes. I had to bind the quad each time before the motors would even turn. Is this a bad quad or is the H12C supposed to do this after every crash? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I am unfamiliar with your quad so I viewed this video.
It appears you do need to bind it each time. There are a lot of helpful videos attached to this one. Looks like a nice quad. Seems to just need a larger battery to be great. With the limited space you'll probably have to strap one on to the bottom.

Thanks for the rely and for posting the video. My battery lasts about 6 to 7 mins. Evidently he got a bad battery. I emailed the purchase company and told them about having to bind it after the small crashes, but have not heard from them yet. I'll post their reply in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

Sounds like the company does not have very good quality control.

Here is the ridiculous email I received today from the company:
Dear buyer,
Thanks for your time .
Sorry for this issue .How about we offer $5 refund and you fix it in the local shop ?

Have a nice day !

I wrote them back and told them there was NO local fix shop, and I didn't know how to fix it myself. It certainly will be a hassle and costly to ship it back to China.

Hahaha, that is quality customer support right there. At this rate they won't have any customers left to support xD

Looks like your'll have to live with the problem or get a new quad. If you really like the body you can give it another FCB, from one that is similar in size.

Go with GJH105775's advice. It's not as complicated as you think. I'm sure he will be happy to help if you run into trouble. You could also just bind it each time and fly it 'til you destroy it. (Could be fun). After you've flown that one into the ground, consider building one. Very, very satisfying. You will learn a lot and it will be your creation. Watching it fly for the first time is amazing!
