I am looking at kits with the view to trying my hand at building from scratch - but not with anything really expensive in case it goes pear shaped!
Saw this among many others on eBay around us$135.

Apart what is NOT listed - to make a finished quad - what else do I need to get in.
I know there is no FPV kit included.... that can come later.
I have a soldering kit and volt meter/ tester

Order some extra props and a prop balancer (This is important! Dubro makes a great one ). Get about a meter each of good quality red and black silicone 14ga wire. Get at least 20, 30 would be better, 3.5mm bullet connectors. Get a couple sets of male and female XT60 battery connectors. Get a pack of 4" wire ties or small velcro straps. Get 6) 5-6" servo leads. A small tube of blue Loctite. Some double stick foam tape and some 1" velcro strips. Get 1.5mm,2.0mm,2.5mm hex drivers and you should be good to go. Oh. Does it have a power distribution board? I didn't see one listed. It may be built in.

And a balance charger and battery bag. NOW I think that's all. Ha ha
Arrrggghhhh need a new house to keep it all in ! Thanks for the info.
I am looking at building part out of "curiosity" - ie can I do it and set it up right! and part to fill in days like today... traveled miles into the rural valleys looking for fields I could approach the owner.. all the fields I saw suitable.. had horses, cows or goats... so there seemed little point in asking!

Ha ha! I know it sounds like a lot of stuff but it would all fit in a grocery bag. Unless you're a speed guy you can fly in a surprisingly small area. As long as you don't fly over people and houses most parks, schools and athletic fields ( when not in use ) are good locations. I have even flown up and down my street to test fly. I live on a dead end street so there is very little traffic. Check the regulations for your area. You may be surprised what's available. Ask the farmers anyway. They likely move the livestock from field to field to avoid overgrazing. They may let you fly in the areas not in use. Watch out for landmines!! Landing in one of those could totally ruin your day! LOL

Hi mate look at 10x4.7 props will give more lift than 10x4.5 thses are the smallest props to look at I have a 700mm quad running 650kv motors I run 14x5.5 props so yours are on the small side

I am looking at various seller websites/ebay, etc - at the different specs... I think the spec in my first post - is the cheap - sell it quick - low spec... so your info is really helpful - thanks
