Quanum nova (cheerson cx 20) upgrade

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and will be grateful for any and all advice.

I've recently brought a quanum nova which is a great bit of kit for the budget I can currently afford. After a few flights and a few more crashes I believe I've ironed out most of the bugs.

The only downfall I have is that it struggles with gsp/altitude hold. Although it does sort of hold I believe the technology ain't quite up to the job as a bit of wind makes it fight and makes it drift.

I've seen this on banggood - DJI Naza-M Lite and was wondering if anyone might know if it was compatible and if it would improve the issues I'm having? Or if anyone knows of a cheaper better option?

Many thanks for any info you may have.

Hello! I'm pretty sure that the included GPS unit is the only one compatible with this quad due to the proprietary FCB. If it was a more common FCB, such as the CC3D, Atom, KK Board, Naze32, etc. there would be a whole host of GPS/autopilot add-ons that would be compatible with it. I don't think that they designed it to be easily serviceable, or for parts to be interchanged, but I'm sure it could be modded somehow (it would be a pain in the butt though, and most likely not worth the bother). Anything's possible though, and a challenge is always fun! ;)

Try this

Arming outside of Manual Mode
Set your switches to Loiter. If you carefully look at the Red light, you will notice that it is blinking twice, pause, then again. It is hard to notice, but look for it. When it is blinking twice like that it means that it is still waiting on some pre-arm items. Maybe the GPS HDOP isn't low enough...things like that. Wait a few more seconds, maybe a minute. Soon the Red light with blink a single time, pause, single blink..... It really is hard to tell the difference between two blinks and one.

Once you get the single red blink, it is ready to arm.

You need to wait a little longer for the GPS parameters to get within range. It takes more than just the green GPS light coming on.

Cheers for this. I will have a look on my next flight. Can't say I've noticed the double flashing but then again I've never looked.
