Help with Quad build

Yeah, I agree with Holtneil CF is the best right now. If you catch them on something you don't have to worry about stress points that break during flight.

I have never seen 3 blade props in CF, though I am pretty sure you could find them.
Is it common for a gps to be less acurate when its windy, cloudy, and somewhat rainy? Because ever since the weather around here has been like this my gps has become a wgps (wonky gps). BTW I tested my gopro on it, it literally took nearly the exact same amount of throttle to lift everything :D

Sounds good, GPS may be a little less accurate due to connecting to fewer satellites. Clouds and other things add interference and it cannot connect to satellites that are a little further away.

Yea, I live in a place were phones get terrible reception, (all phones mind you not just one) Wonder if we are in a dead spot... Ill plug my quad into my pc to see were it thinks I am on the gps, ever since it been cloudy out its been NOT accurate.... Im finally getting a little more agressive at flying :) Maybe ill post some videos from the onboard GoPro...

If you don't have a good signal don't have it where it could fly away. I would disable the GPS if I did not absolutely need it. Are you getting terrible signal or just a little bad?

See if your controller has a problem and fails your fail-safe will kick in. If your fail safe is GPS, and that GPS has a bad signal you could loose your quad.

The signal is good, atleast on mission planner, how accurate should the gps be? Like within 10 ft? Lets say I turn my transmitter of midflight, the failsafe WILL kick in, and once it kicks in I can't regain controler. I can regain control lets say I to a RTL not a failsafe RTL

I was saying if your tx broke or battery dies suddenly, but it should be better than 10 feet (think of GPS hold), that is not too bad though for RTL If it thinks your in another field or something then you need to be careful.

I'm a bit worried my gps is broken, I did somewhat break the top puck, im not sure if its in the puck or not though... BTW For RTL it wasnt off by 10ft, usually its only off about 2-3 ft... (I think) Were it was 10ft off was when I hooked it up to mission planner, it showed me about 10ft away from were I actually was.

Makes sense, could just be mad signal in your area. If your worried about a part being broke send a picture in if you can.

Gps was working, I did an auto mission again, There is something in that puck at the top :p

This is what happend to me today :( That broke my puck even more than it already was...

Looks like low battery cutout. You can disable this on most ESCs. But when it is supposed to happen if it does not your lipo will be ruined. So this is why you low-vo alarms/

Afterwards I took the GoPro off and tried to fly it, couldn't really get it into the air (at least not very high) and then I heard the low voltage alarm... The battery took FOREVER to charge, after about 2-3 hours I just took the battery off the charger and tried flying it. Everything seems to be working properly

The cheap one that came with it, although I do have acces to a $$ fancy pancy multifunction auto/balancer charger

Slow charging is better for the battery. Extends the overall life. You also should discharge to 3.7 per series (S) so a 3S battery would be 11.1v storage voltage. Then you charge the rest of thee way before you fly.
