x5c joy stick

New guy here. Old dog learning new tricks.

My new x5c just arrived. I was pretty pumped but upon inspecting the controller I noticed the left control lever (accelerator) only springs back to the home/center position when I push it left or right. When I push it forward or back it stays there. Is it supposed to do that or should it always return to center when you let go? I suspect it should return to center. Is it fixable or should I return it (bought it on Amazon).

There's no dumb questions right?

Yes it is supposed to do this, that is for your throttle.

Thanks! Not the answer I expected but it was the one I wanted! Pretty busy weekend but I hope I can get a maiden flight in. Quadcopters are so cool! Can't wait.

Hahaha, anytime. Also if it is your first time flying try to focus on keeping your orientation. Also don't do anything too crazy hahaha.

Hi John, I just got the same model as you.
I'm actually finding the non return joystick a little easier to use as opposed to the spring loaded return joystick on my last model.
Feels a little more professional, if that makes sense?
Also, as has been said, orientation is everything. I'm still learning outdoor skills myself so I can't impart any wisdom other than concentrate, concentrate, concentrate!

Actually, the more 'professional' quads are the ones that have this.
