wizard x220 transmitter problem

hello! i need this problem solved fast so i decided to consult you guys! ive just purchased the wizard x220 off the internet and i got it today, it only came in angle mode so i went into beta flight and changed switches on my tranmitter to switch between all modes in the mist of that i changed switch B to be the arming switch and made it so the motors spin at idle, obviously that didnt work out my transmitter will connect to the drone but will not send a single signal in beta flight (when the transmitter is connected) it shows nothing when i move a switch or if i roll there is nothing and the transmitter says that it is connected, little bit of help please?

Calibrate the voltage in betaflight then calibrate the escs. Check to make sure motors function correctly in bf motors tab.

i did, the transmitter will connect but the drone wont respond to anything

In order for receiver input to work a few things need to be correct. In the ports tab you must have the serial rx toggle set for the correct uart and save that setting, then in the configuration tab you must have the correct protocol selected for the receiver type. If either of those is wrong you will not see any response in the receiver tab if both of those is right you will see some kind of input (assuming transmitter is bound to receiver). If something is moving in receiver tab based on transmitter input/stick movement then you are good on the ports and config settings for the receiver and may need to adjust channel mapping and/or move on to mode settings at that point if sticks look good in receiver tab.

alright it shows that the transmitter is there and everything looks good but the drone wont respond to the settings i put

Also on the receiver tab does the right thing move for each stick (throttle yaw etc.). If both look good then control signal is probably fine can move on to check motors/escs. With props off you can use the motors tab to bring the motors up to speed (again make sure props are off this is no joke it will try to fly while tethered to your computer and I guarantee things will go bad)

You'll need battery hooked up to drive power to motors but cannot stress enough take your props off first.

im not seeing any red when im arming it plus when the aux says it goes into the highlighted area it doesnt show that it arms it, im unable to test the motors with the transmitter but i can with the motors tab

Generally when the aux signal moves the little yellow bar so long as your long yellow bar has it land in there and you have saved you should see that it says arm in red with (disabled) below it since arming normally is disabled while hooked up via USB as a safety precaution if it doesn't go red though the slider position is wrong. The yellow bar is the active area and has two handles to adjust the sides.

alright ive adjusted it and it lands in yellow nothing tells me that it would be armed and when i take it off of the usb it still doesnt arm, what should i do?

Make sure you hit save after adjusting the sliders or else it won't take effect and you won't see it go red. Once it's going red can try disconnected. Do you have fpv gear too? OSD configured? Or no?


Asking because you can turn on, "warnings" option in osd to see why it isn't arming will say something like angle if it thinks it's tipped and you need to calibrate accelerometer with quad level or might say throttle if your throttle isn't at 0.

good news! turns out i had everything mixed up in the transmitters channels with pitch as throttle yaw as roll i was messing with the transmitter with the arming switch on when i went full pitch back it armed and frankly it scared me to death and i hit the switch to turn it off turns out somthing was wrong with the transmitter, took it for its first flight today! couldnt have been better

Awesome good to hear you got the channels sorted out looks like it flies pretty good. Little bit of warning make sure to disarm before you hit the ground or at least throttle down and disarm as soon as you can or will likely fry an esc or motor (it happens quite a lot), but yah great to see it flying have fun!!!
