I am trying yo wire up my frsky d8r-II plus receiver to my quad... i have an SP Racing F3 FC I am trying to connect it to.......... I tried to upload pics but my laptop is acting crazy.........smh.
I don't know much about frsky rx's but on the picture above is a spf3.
The connections on top is I02 for sbus ibus The bottom is I01 pwm& ppm.
If you Google spf3 pdf file it will show what every single thing is for.
I use ppm which is 3 wires 5v ground, signal.
... Ummmm .... Moz ? ..... The wire is supposed to go INTO the hole on the board, then you solder the wires and pads together.
That pic looks like you applied solder to the pads then soldered the wires adjacently onto the blobs already on the pads ?
Not much spare wire on this one but there is pins in the holes that have been cut down. Not my best work but it's working. My boards are old, the kwads I sell are immaculate with all pins solderd.
Nice & clean with added weight. Lol
... Oh, ok ... I figured you knew that already and maybe just "touched up" those connections and some extra solder got added on.
I'll often chop down pins like that myself too (truth be told)
Of course, if you wanna keep it Mil-Spec, those wire should be "J-Hooked"
around the pin first (making a good physical connection first before the electrical connection is even established) then flowed
over with solder .... lol .... but this ain't Mil-Spec work, it's just a hobby, so if it makes a strong quality connection (like those are)
then good on ya
That was it, just for stiffness. Since this pic I have added a thin piece of coke can cut to board size, bolted, taped on the underside. Then my vtx sits on top. Adds to a little bit of shielding. these boards are old but still working.
The next one I buy is the NEO.
