Curious what your enjoyment entails? For me, someday I would like to pilot an ROV on an underwater adventure. I see a lot of similarities between flying around inside my home and piloting an ROV remotely around a sunken wreck. I've become quite adept at tucking this into open closets, up and down stairwells (not as easy as you'd think) and around obstacles and return to start all manually. Hovering in front of points of interest hearing the voice of mission control asking me to 'slide over and look at that object over in the corner'. 'OK now give us a shot of the inside of that locker [closet]'. All these missions have an endgame. Precision, hover control, small movements with a target spot. You get the picture. Some of us probably like the flying portion of it. But I'm wondering if anyone else sees the possibilities down the road. I would love to explore the 'Hamilton' and the 'Scourge' lost in a storm on Lake Ontario during the War of 1812. Zipping around is fun. Maximum heights are fun. Piloting an ROV a dream. Can't wait to try FPV.

hard to put into words. I just like to see them fly around knowing I can control.
I also like photo ops. Gives me a sense of accomplishment to have some pix to show for my flights instead of just fifteen minutes of play time.

I do get the same rush. I like the indoor flying lately. As I direct it around the room... I like that control. I film almost every time I go out to fly. Mostly at dawn or dusk seem to be best but filming in that light can be challenging. I said in another post that it was getting boring. I mis-spoke. The site I fly in is a huge parking lot lined by trees. I have a ton of 'footage' of the tree line slanting this way... then that way then this way but then wham... I hit my height limit and hover and do a slow rotation and I can see Lake Erie in the distance and Niagara Falls hotels spiking the horizon and the sun breaking the line between sky and earth... well there ya have it!!! :)

For me it's just a hobby, something to do when the fish aren't biting. Years ago I had a R/C helicopter and never really got much past hovering. I'm hoping to squire the skills need to fly a quad. I have the x5c-1 like Thomas and just ordered a Blade Nano QX to practice inside during the up coming winter months.

One day I would like to do FPV
