Where do you buy parts?

So, I don't know if this is in the right thread but I didn't know where to start. I'm a noob to this but am super into all things quadcopter and have a cheap one, it's a Vivitar Skytracker GPS WiFi 720p camera drone and I want to upgrade the gimbal and camera to something that has some range of motion. The wifi range is inferior and I need it to be better and the gimbal doesn't absorb vibrations all that well.

As far as I know, I can't use a WiFi repeater to increase the range because this drone doesn't require a password to access it's WiFi. So I either need to replace the WiFi antenna or the entire camera altogether. I have an awesome solder station with very precise temperature control and thought maybe I should find a WiFi antenna and solder it to the board. My remote has two free slots for camera control and can solder the necessary components to it for the camera upgrade.

I guess my problem is I don't know where to look for the parts I might need and if I want to replace the camera or solder my own components to a board. I would love it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, not an answer, but a concern. Reading some reviews of this at Walmart, it seems that it has a propensity to become an escapeologist. I've had one drone that decided to go off on holiday, with a fully charged battery, so it could have landed several miles away. I didn't see it again , but it was less than half the cost of the Skytracker.

My worry is that you will put lots of work and some expense into this for it to disappear shortly after. I am surprised as most GPS drones seem to have a return to home feature, activated, amongst other incidents, if they loose signal. For instance, my JJRC X11 seems very good at getting itself back to the launch pad.

I appreciate your concern and didn't consider the ominous flyaway that could befall me. I will say that the wind has ripped it out of its hover lock and tried to take it away. It fought hard and the battery died. I got lucky it set itself down out of harm's way and very near to me. On another occasion I was manually landing the drone and about half a meter off of the ground (or less) the battery dropped to 19% which triggered an auto return to home command. I was landing it at the home pad but it thought home was 20 feet away and nearly hit my wife and I. It ended up crashing and now I have a little click in one of the rotors but she still flies nicely. I'll eventually want to replace these rotors and will need to know where to buy spare parts from a reputable place. I know it's a cheap drone and I will probably be wasting my money by upgrading it and repairing it but this is my hobby now and I don't mind one bit.

On an ending note; I am getting a racing FPV quad once I find the brand I like and model that suits me and I'll be getting the Skydio 2 quadcopter in about a month which I am super excited for. If you haven't heard of it yet you should look it up. It's pretty nice. Anyway, thanks for your reply. If you do know where to buy parts then I'd appreciate it if you could share that info with me. That Skydio 2 looks most impressive. Wonderful rock solid cinematography and impressive obstacle avoidance.
I struggled to get a spare arm for my X11, eventually ordered one from rc-helicopter-spare-parts-online.com but they don't have any Skytracker parts, sorry, neither, it seems does Banggood.

Yeah that's goin to be my problem with this drone but that's okay I'll modify it if I have to when that time comes if I can find compatible parts. I'll look at the specs and try to match each part that way with an OEM or something.
