What's wrong with me?

for building all these quadcopters?

So anyway got an 8 inch frame with 7 inch props but the deal is.............the motors are intended for a 5 inch lol. Well anyone who has seen my threads here will know that ain't gonna stop me from trying.

Emax race spec motors, 2205 2600kv
30 amp emax bullet escs
Spracing f3 fcb
Matek pdb xt60
7 inch dalprops
Unknown 8 inch freestyle frame from banggood
1000 mx eachine vtx
Crossfire micro racing receiver
Runcam 2 with osd.

The plan is to solder it all together and then throttle it down in cleanflight because those motors are way too high kv for an 8 inch. The question is @wafflejock do you think throttling down to 40-50% in the firmware will make these motors and escs work in an 8 inch frame with 7 inch props?

Maybe... basically so long as can get the thrust to weight high enough to have it do the pid loop to correct for errors/wind and whatnot plus give you control then it could work. Problem is basically with higher kv motors they will have lower torque so ability to quickly change speed of the motors to spool up and be responsive with heavier props/more load is eventually a problem. Usually with experimental stuff like that I'll use the ecalc.ch site to get a rough idea of what might cook to keep an eye on things but also usually stuff where I'm willing to risk toasting it too

From some rough guesses on components/numbers ecalc site saying motors may be at risk of cookin' finding the actual pitch prop is an important parameter I just guessed on here but otherwise looks feasible:

Yikes and that's with 2 blade props while I was planning on using 3 blade props. Might put this build on hold until I find some lower kv motors. (I only buy components that are cheap, on sale low cost.)

Unfortunately my low kv motors are somewhere in the woods after I forgot to take a vtx off bench mode, lost video and lost the quad lol. Although the components were cheap it still sucks because finding cheap components is getting more difficult and as everything is switching to 6s batteries it seems stuff has gotten more expensive.
