Ive been beating the crap out of my x5c-1..Done quite a bit of mods and flying it like i stole it and it just keeps on gettin'...I like it so much i bought a BNF model for $23.00
Flying it with the x8c Tx im finding not only improves range past visibility by the naked eye but it also allows for a more controllable yaw..I can yaw even slower than it does with the stock tx and it also seems the throttle is a bit more precise...It seems to keep a steady hover better with the x8c tx needing less throttle movement to maintain altitude...My favorite set up so far.
If anyone ever pulls the x5 apart and you see it says V6 on the flight board after the part number do yourself a favor and get an X8C tx to fly it with.
