This question came up while exporing my disappointing endurance result (see thread). The consensus pretty much is that I have a weak battery, and I'm thinking about buying one of these Turnigy Graphene 4S 6000 mAh lipos. But on another forum, a guy suggested that my 4S, using 1553 props was too inefficient, and suggested that I go to 3S.
My aircraft is a highly modified Parallax Elev-8 (V2), using an APM flight controller, Tarot 4006 620 kv motors (30 A OPTO ESCs) and weighs 3 lb, including the Glacier 4S lipo:
Would I get better results going with 13"props and dropping down to a 3S lipo? Would I have to worry about higher current draw through the ESCs?
