What if you want to record video...???

I was getting about ready to buy a Beebrain Lite kit or a Tinyhawk and watched some videos but never saw anything about where you could put an SD card to record your flights. So I checked about that specifically at one of the sales sites and found out neither of those kits provides you with a way to record. But I saw youtube videos where they had done it. The guy I chatted with said they must either use a ground station or goggles that will record. So in order to record with either of those kits you have to spend an additional $100+ to do something that imo they should make available to you in the kit? Is that correct and if so how exactly would you do it? It doesn't make any sense at all to me that they don't give you a way to do it, if not in the drone itself at least in the goggles. Is there even a way of doing it with your phone?

If your goggles don't have DVR feature built in you can add after market DVR that will record the analog video signal before passing it along to the display driver just search for FPV DVR you can probably also attach on the quad itself but will drain power and add weight there analog signals don't look great after transmission you see all the noise and most security cams ours are derived from are only 700 vertical lines or thereabouts (just under 720p)

Personally big fan of runcam split for getting decent looking video without all the weight and expense of a GoPro or similar, but still a bit big for the micro quad size (only use one on my 5")
