Turncoat Quadster turns to Areo Jockey...

Fellow quadsters,

While I still own my quadcopter and try to fly as often as there is no wind (where would that be?) I have regressed in the pursuit of flight by buying a Hobbyzone Super Cub S. No, this is not a quad, it is a fixed wing r/c airplane! It's quite large with a 47 inch wingspan. The difference with having an airplane, flying it on a day with wind (not gale force, of course) is a welcome event. It may drift a bit, but it is more easily controlled than a quad that looks for every tree in the vicinity and tries to build a nest in it. I wanted to fly something other than a Frisbee and a Quadcopter for variety.

So, I am not a traitor to the cause, but have an expanded horizon for the pursuit of flight, while standing on the ground.

Nothing wrong with Mixing things up. I'm trying to get a little done on my U580 but this has been taking up my time the last few days

Been playing around a bit myself. Using Dollar Tree (where everything is a buck) tools, tape and foam board.

Just a simple bank & yank (elevons only) wing. It's a bit harder than I thought it would be to fly. Just too damned fast, gotta try smaller props. :) Also started cutting a 28" slo-fly 3D.

Looks like fun.
