Hi all,
I've recently noticed that my yaw doesn't seem to stay in trim.
I suspect it's my transmitter, but the whole thing seems a bit odd, so I though I'd let you know my symptoms and see if anyone has any ideas:
- FlySky FSi6 transmitter, and KK2.1.5 board
- i've recalibrated both gyro and accel
- when I look at the receiver test screen on the board, and pull the yaw lever to one side and let it go, the signal only gradually reverts to neutral, unlike the roll and pitch levers which snap back to neutral immediately
- I've reproduced this effect using the same tx to control my rockcrawler buggy steering, if i let go of the stick, the steering only gradually centers itself, unlike if I configure it to the roll channel which snaps back straight away
- the 'neutral' position tends to differ depending which side I've last pulled the yaw stick to - ie if i release the stick from the left, it will tend to settle at a slightly different value than if I release the stick from the right. These all suggest to me an issue with the tx, possibly mechanical.
- setting the subtrim is very hard - setting to a value of 0 in the rx test screen with the stick centered means having the subtrim way over to the right, and yet with that setting, it's obviously not trimmed at all and spins round as soon as I take off
- setting the subtrim by trial and error does work, and uses a subtrim much closer to the middle, but that subtrim is a non-zero value in the rx screen. These last two don't make sense to me, it's as though the board has an issue as well as the tx.
Any ideas ?
