personally, I never fly my units over Pakistan.

seriously, I've heard it said that some countries have the philosophy that 'you can do whatever you want unless we ban it', and some places say 'you can't do anything without permission'. always check your local regs.

I'm still lucky to get my quad to leave the ground before it finds a tree and tries to knock it down. Of course, that can only happen when the wind is not blowing, a phenomena that seldom occurs in Michigan. I guess that's why the electric company is so interested in wind farms here.
 
I've hit the trees three times, no power lines yet. might not be anything left after one of those hits.
 
Someone needs to develop a collision avoidance system for quadcopters. It would need to detect an object at least 3 feet in front of it and then cause the quadcopter to stop and reverse its course. Of course, being in a forest might present other problems but then how many of us fly our quads in forests? My quad automatically finds forests, even in a football stadium.
 
I think some of the higher-end units have some kind of collision-avoidance radar. a little beyond my tech skills.
