I know this is a cheap gimbal. I have flown it on two different balanced quads with the same result... Jello! Not sure if it is the gimbal, me or the quads. Anyone have jello free flights with this gimbal?
Thought I was crashing. Flying through the monitor. Cheap Walkera gimbal fail

It does look a little better than mine but still there is a little vibration. I was hoping for video quality as good as a Phantom 3 Standard. Could be a couple of issues.
1: I am expecting too much from this gimbal.
2: My motors are bigger lifting a lot more weight therefore spinning faster and working harder causing more vibration. The man in the video was using a small $60 dollar drone. Maybe I am going about it wrong.
3: My carbon fiber frame is less forgiving.
Who knows, but I am still having a good time figuring it out. Next I will remove the double dampener and see how it looks.

And a Phantom sized CX-20.
I think so.
Folks will often stuff things into the balls, ear plugs, foam etc.
I assume you balanced your props.

That is amazing. I like how he was able to fly it so far through the trees, and at one point, I think he even touched down briefly in the water because I saw a couple of drops on his camera when he was low.

Hey Jackson, you were right about too much dampening. I removed the double dampener and set the gimbal back a couple of inches away from the turbulence from the props and got a much better video. I will post the results on this thread and a couple of days. There still is some vibration but I don't think it'll get much better with that inexpensive gimbal. Thanks for your advice.

You may find David's approach interesting, although I don't know how you could incorporate it.
You've probably seen similar isolation type mounts, he's using piano wire, other's have used tubing, nylon ties, foam etc. But moving the mass of the battery from the frame to the camera platform seems like sound reasoning.

Kind of ironic he is using piano wire to lessen the vibration since piano wire relies on vibration to create a sound.
I used zip ties fastened slightly loose to secure the carbon fiber top plate of the double dampener I scrapped to the tubing that holds the battery on its plate. Kind of hard to explain but should be visible in the video.
This would be an interesting project. Experiment with all types of anti vibration thing-a-ma-jigs and see if it is possible to get a vibration free video from an inexpensive gimbal.

Gimbal update. Getting better video. I am not sure if it is possible to get Phantom 3 quality but I am getting closer.
