When looking round the internet, we can see drones in some hostile conditions. Drones were fried in an experiment in a Lightning simulator. What did we learn? Don’t fly drones in a lightning storm. Pretty awesome spectacle nonetheless.
From England, we went south to South Africa where the video footage took us on a Safari. All shot on a Mavic no less, the visual tells the story. The result is cinematic. Who says that you need a large camera to get some stunning visual effects?
In other places, drone regulations are popping up in places like Germany aimed for privacy. The law is designed for larger drones weighing over 5 kg (11 pounds) to need permission from federal avaition authorities before they can fly. Those who fly the Phantom do not need such permission as the Phantom weighs less then 2kg (4.4 pounds).
Finally, for those who are looking to add to their DJI arsenal, the world’s leading drone company DJI added new two new products: the Datalink 3 an updated remote for industrial uses and the Spark: the smaller Mavic type drone. Look for a release summer time.
