Hi everyone, new to this quadcopter business and need a bit of assistance. I bought a syma x8w quadcopter as a starting point with the aim to progress to higher spec models however i thought id learn to fly one at a smaller price to begin with. I have really enjoyed flying this drone however there are a few things i need assistance with. I took it to a park with no buildings/pylons/trees or anything i could hit within a 200m radius and flew it without the camera attached to get used to it and everything was fine. Was getting a good distance horizontally and vertically and didnt crash once. As soon as i attached the camera the problems started. I took off with the camera and fpv working fine but then i got to a certain height and lost signal completely on screen, i then lost controls and couldnt move it left to right up and down or turn it, the remote was basically redundant. Thankfully it wasnt a windy day and it was balanced correctly so it hovered where it was and eventually slowly came down and landed. I then sent it up again and the same thing happened but at a much lower height just off the ground the controller did not move the drone and it was flying its self. I turned the remote off to see if it would cut the motors but it continued flying on its own. This was with the camera attached so i took it off and disconnected the wifi and it flew the same as it did the first time, great range and full control. Can somebody tell me what is wrong with it as i have no faith in flying it anywhere near buildings When the camera and wifi is connected. It was bought for taking photos and i am unable to do that as it is uncontrollable as soon as the camera is attached. It is go pro compatible but i dont have a go pro nor do i want to buy one i would rather use the camera it came with. I was also wondering if there was an option to use the camera to take photos without using the wifi or if it all has to be done through the wifi. If anyone can tell me how to properly set up the wifi/fpv/camera so it works that would also be a big help. Any assistance and guidance would be much appreciated.
