Purchased this for my grandson for Christmas. Hasn't flown a single time. It's communicating, and starting up but when I press forward to life off it surges forward and flips over before it gets air born. Tried all the manual recommendations, re-calibrating, etc. Nothing seems to help. The only thing it's good for is display shelf duty. Can someone help me please???? Tried to post a video but too big I suppose. I've looked high and low for a place to post a question to Syma, but I suppose they don't feel the need to have support.

Why do you have weights tied to the landing gear?

Have you tried the recalibration where you hold the controller sticks down and to the left or something?

My x8 started doing something similar last year and the recalibration fixed it. I can't remember exactly how to do it but you can find the procedure on the internet.

Hi mate to me it looks like the rear props are spinning the wrong way it's hard to see on the video but check
Front left CW front right CCW back left CCW back right CW

You may have installed the props wrong, they should be like this.

The weights are attached because every time I attempt to fly it, it lunges forward and either flips or crashes. I tethered it so I could attempt to calibrate it or reset it, which I have tried many times with no success.
