Hey everyone, Has anyone tried or seen or know of a success story of someone ordering this brushless upgrade for the SymaX8? http://www.yousky7.com/Upgrade-Brus...X8C-X8W-X8G-Quadcopter-Drone-parts/Index.html It looks like a fairly simple install...however, I am more concerned about the quality of the motors used, esc, converters, etc. Does this look like a legit setup? Thanks!
I would not bother. For that kind of money this makes more sense. http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_355354.html#lkid=10006662 Lots of YouTube vids to peruse.
Sometimes it is not about making sense. Sometimes you just want to play and experiment. I have several x8s and I have modified all of them one way or another. I tried the brushless kit from the syma store and it was a flop as far as I am concerned. I do not have more power or longer flight time. It flies smooth and quiet with now load. With a camera on it, it is worthless. Won't gain altitude or hover and if the low voltage lights come on, I hope you are close to the ground. You will not have enough time to land it before the motors stop and your x8 falls from the sky. I did order the kit cberish is asking about. If it works I will be happy. I like flying and modifying the x8 because it offers a great platform to learn from. I have a bayang toys x21. I love flying that. But, it has a geofence allowing the quad to only fly 140 meters high. Sometimes I wan to fly higher. I'm sure the x16 is the same way.
