Swapping flight control boards.

While attempting to repair a broken wire connection on my FPV camera connection, I may have accidentally shorted out the flight control board in my Ai Freedom II, which is basically a rebodied Syma X8-series. The only response when I power it up is rapid blinking of the LEDs. The flight control board is the only internal component, that is different in appearance. As it uses the same motors, gears, props, 7.4v battery, and landing struts. Can I use a reppacement Syma flight control board for an X8-series as long as it is properly wired to my motors and LEDs?

I doubt that JJRC transmitter will bind to a Syma board.
