First post here, appreciate the help!
Build my first 250 a few weeks ago and only had a few flights so pardon my lack of knowledge and proper terminology...
Without question, I have had my fair share of crashes so far but most recently one of my antenna came loose and was immediatly cut off by my prop. Good thing the receiver (Turnigy TGY-I10) has diversity antenna so the incident was fairly smooth with a quick "snap" sound but no other noticeable difference. At first, I didn't knwo what had happened so I brought the quad closer and saw what had happened. Soon thereafter I noticed this tendancy to suddenly roll to the right which I figured was an issue with noise in the system due to the severed antenna so I didn't fly again until I could replace it.
And that brings me to today...new antenna but same issue. I have attached a video to help explain what is happening. In the video you will notice that when hovering, periodically there is sudden roll to the right to which requires a compensation to the left to correct. It doesn't seem to matter if I am flying or just hovering the issue remains.
Assumptions:
- It can't be an ESC or motor as the movement is Roll right. Not front right or rear right, just right
- It has to be noise - issue didn't start until I chopped an antenna off
I replaced my antenna which isn't rocket science for a EE and I don't see any indication of signal strength degradation so I think I'm good there.
REALLY appreciate any guidance here. Its flyable but super annoying given there is constant correction required when it rolls right and I'm not that good flying in all orientations so compensation isn't natural yet. I could always just buy a new receiver to see if that fixes the problem but don't understand why the new antenna doesn't fix it.
Critical Components
- CC3D controller
-Turnigy Transmiter TGI-I10
-Turnigy receiver
