Has anybody cracked the code with shipping rates - when charged - bu the online Chinese stores??
Express ShippingUS$11.91
3~7 working days
Standing ShippingUS$23.38
7~15 working days
AirmailUS$12.37
10~20 working days
Register AirmailUS$13.47
10~20 working days
Do I opt for No 1 and hope it arrived in the quoted 7 days or No 2 and hope it arrived in the short end of the quoted shipping duration? Difficult because No 2 is is over twice the price of No1 and it could take the full 15 days...
BUT WAIT.... if I pay $1.56 MORE than No 1 with No 4 I may get it in just 10 days -50/50? or even if its a few days late - say - 15 days - its less to pay that No2
And for $1 who is not going to register the shipment?
Now on my now infamous purchase - I paid EB - "Fast Freight: $17.99 - Australia Express : 08/18/2015 00:11:44 AM Delivery estimate: 3-7 business days. Exact time depends on courier.
Well I can confirm the courier took two weeks to get from Shen Zhen to HK and another 8 days to get to Australia. "Fast Freight" seems the couriers do not understand the convention of "Fast" or were EB being "optimistic" or just bulking up the total to manage profit levels??
On the other hand.. I recently purchased an hard shell back pack for my Phantom P3 - off eBay - free shipping. The item itself was the lowest price among other eBay sellers, offering the same item.
It arrived the morning of the 10th day from when I actually placed the order.
Fact is a few guys on a phantom related forum had posted a similar result and it attracted literally dozens of replies - which no doubt ended up as sales.. me being one.
Now we all know there is no such thing as free shipping -its built into the item cost.
Where shipping is charged - is it because the Chinese store does not actually send them out and maybe as a kind of "dropshipper" deal with another warehouse/maker - who will pay the shipping fee and charge back to the store?? Who knows.
Interesting to see the do not ( yet ) offer free shipping and theoretically at least, a buy can pay a decent price for the item and choose shipping options - which confuse me no end!
The quote above is from lighttake.com - and if anybody follows my who owns/runs which Chinese store - their website - who is - shows a web hosting company and the owner is - "Private".
As they have very few items to sell really - we have to guess why they prefer to hide.
