Reusing a transmitter/reciever

I built an inspire clone.

-Quantum 475 kv motors
- 30a ESC's
-5s Turnigy 3000 mah battery
-Acro Naze flight controller
-CC3D power distro.

My question is.. I've bought a transmitter and reciever off of ebay and the guy just messaged me and told me its like 2 weeks out.. Can I take the trans and reciever from an UDI818a I have laying around to do a test flight? Range is only about 200 ft.. But I can at least get it off the ground. Thanks.

Technically yes, with the right tools like an arduino you could do this. However I'd strongly suggest against it.
