I tend to research stuff to death before buying so please forgive my noob questions. I've have a tiny pocket quad and a x5c-1. They were mostly to play with over Christmas. Something to entertain the kids and old folks. It worked. The drunks loved it too.
A week later and I want more! Bigger, faster, higher, further!
So, I'm building a 250. That's all I know at the moment, a "250". Told you I was a noob. However I'm not a noob at building. I have a small machine shop at home, I play with arduino, I'm converting my mill to cnc and I restore pinball machines. Lots of Hobbes that pair well with quads. Anyways,
How relevant is information a year old? Lots of vids and reviews out there 8mo, 1yr, 3yr old. Does this hobby move faster than that? Some of my hobbys do. A product 1yr old in the arduino world has probably been updated 3 times since then. More recent information is needed.
If you wanted to spend $200 on just building the quad would you listen to this guys budget build advise?
Buy a kit from a hobby store?
Or something else?
Where is all the radio information? Lots of info on quads but very little on the Tx. How much do I need to spend? Something decent, fpv and room for advancement.
What other quad forums have a good amount of traffic? Lots of good info here but I like to look around. Several of the other forums I've looked at have very little traffic.
I'm not even sure what brands to look at for. What are the tried and true brands in my price range?
Ok, I'll stop asking questions.......for now.
Thanks for any help you can give
Tony
