Batteries, Transmitter/Receiver combo. They also put a deans battery connector in the set , If your going to solder one on, IMHO a XT60 is better, as it is more compatible with more batteries OTS (Off The Shelf).

To be able to control the quad copter you need a Transmitter to hold, and a receiver on the quadcopter to receive what you send it (small rectangular thing). The receiver just plugs into the flight controller.

For the battery most people use between a 800mah - 1300mah, 3S - 4S LiPo battery
Don't know what all of those numbers are, here is a video to explain it.

Here is a small list of suggested Transmitters, I am sure I missed a bunch.

Spektruim (Great quality; Dx6i, Dx6, or Dx7)
Orange (great quality, cheapest on this list, and receivers work with most Spektruim products)
FrySky (makes a good yet cheap 9X probably the cheapest full range 9 channel Tx)

I have used the HKTR6A v2 (Hobby King's) Transmitter and reciever. I have no complaints with it, it is just not really upgradable. It has a range of alot further than you can see, so if you fly LOS, and are over budget it is fine. Here is a modification I made to it to make it cheaper and more convenient. I put a Xt60 battery connector so I could power it off from a LiPo or LiFe battery. I made a cable to power my FPV and Tx from the same battery. Make sure you don't have batteries in when you have a LiPo connected, I just soldered my leads onto the PCB and left the AA battery holder connected.

I just looked and you can use 2S-3S LiPo, due to your motors.

Do you want longer flight times or faster flights? Here is a 1000mah 3S Lipo with the xt60 connector. You could buy from somewhere else, but here is a good example.

I forgot to mention that you'll need a charger. This is a cheap one that I use.

I think longer battery... What is the flight speed with longer battery life and without longer battery life? And yes don't worry about the charger I got that covered.

I don't have a 250, so I have never experimented, but you can experiment on this calculator. The only difference is in the weight/capacity. If I were you I'd get more than one battery, to allow for both, you'd just have to change batteries.

Hi if your going 250 race quad keep to the smaller battery like the 3 cell 1800 mah , just buy more of them , the bigger battery may be to large to fit the small 250 frame also the weight goes up with the size , and the race quad need to be light , they only normally do 5 mins but thats a fast flying 5 mins the motors will be running 2300 rpm little screamers
