Brand new radio taken out of box for pictures only. I fly fixed wing and bought this model by mistake. I needed the 4-in-1 module to get the protocols I needed for the receivers I have.
I understand this is a great TX for quads.

Bit confused, since this transmitter has a module bay couldn't you just add the "JR module" that is compatible with your receivers? In any case not a thing I need but seems like a fairish starting price for sure.

Just ordered a JR module about 10 minutes ago.
I have decided to keep the radio.
Bought a TX16S and like the radio but the quality of some of the features are lacking.
I already had to replace the 2 pots (S1, S2) and now my throttle won't read -100 in the idle position (even after calibration) so when I turn on the radio or change models I get a throttle warning and my timer starts to count down since throttle will not read -100.

Frustrated to say the least with some of the quality issues of the Radiomaster TX16S transmitter.

Sucks to hear it on the radiomaster I've had one of the original release of the T16 and was good (ran into the ribbon cable issue once but was just while bench testing and was easily fixed by reseating the ribbon cable). The other radio you got with the hall sensors will likely be more reliable long term anyhow. Potentiometers are *usually* fairly reliable so long as they aren't around any chemicals or saltwater that will corrode the resistive material or wiper arm, but I've had some where the entire batch were terrible (some 10k pots for projects with WL stamped on them from Amazon, absolute garbage). Having milled aluminum bushings would be better for longevity and smoothness but probably isn't a huge difference with injection molded plastic for that part and probably not impossible to replace if ever need to.
